Description: This is part of my collection of Southern Pacific Date Nails. These all came from Southern Pacific RR ties and bridges. At the time of collection, SP had merged or acquired many other lines not limited to, but including the Texas and New Orleans RR, SAAP (San Antonio Aransas Pass) and Arizona and Colorado RR. This can account for many of the various different nails for the same date. The set includes a short 1914 with a 1" shank. I personally pulled 2 of these off the old SAAP just North of Sinton Texas. Also, there is a square 1932 that I pulled off a bridge on the Sunset Route in West Texas. The 1969 nail was purchased by SP, but limited use or no use. I got it from a SP employee from Houston, TX. This is not all of the SP nails I am listing. I am listing a complete bridge code set and a A-J letter set with varieties that were used from 1901 to 1909. Free shipping lower 48 states!
